Nelson Rex Hung (洪嘉康), L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
Nelson attended UCLA, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Biology, then Yo San University in Los Angeles, graduating with honors with a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Nelson comes from a family of healthcare practitioners. His grandfather was a pediatrician who conducted research on acupuncture and addiction in 1970’s Taiwan. His sister is also a Chinese Medicine practitioner.
Nelson specializes in mental health, pain management, internal medicine and facial rejuvenation. He completed a specialty internship at Being Alive! Los Angeles Wellness Center in West Hollywood. Being Alive! is a nonprofit organization focusing on the mental health and wellness of people living with HIV/AIDS. Nelson is certified and has a subspecialty in facial Micro-Needling. Micro-Needling is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues. Nelson has also completed the NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol course which helps treat addiction, stress and trauma.
Nelson is licensed by the California State Board of Acupuncture and nationally certified in Oriental Medicine by NCCAOM. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, traveling, becoming a Top Chef, being in the ocean and spending time with family. He looks forward to sharing his passion for Chinese Medicine to his community!
